"I Invited Oprah" is an exploratory journey of Black familial dynamics, shared memories, and addressing trauma. The work was conceived as part of Dance and Process at The Kitchen, NYC for the 2016-2017 season. The work examines how a performer can embody other characters and represent their memories through movement, sound, and affect.
